Rear Beaver Cove


A small group attended an outdoor mass at the site of Johnny and Miriah MacKinnon's farm. Theirs was the northernmost farm of the original 25 in that area. 
This is the first of 25 homes that composed the Rear Beaver Cove, It was inhabited for about 100 years ending in 1919. This shrine surrounds the MacKinnon home which is signified by a giant rosary as well as a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Standees include Johnanna MacKinnon, Theresa MacKinnon James MacKinnon, Norman MacIntyre, Peter MacNeil and Blaine MacKinnon
